We encourage all of our athletes to participate in the lifting program at their high school. We pride ourselves in our ability to adapt our program to work collaboratively with the lifting programs at the different schools around Des Moines.
The majority of school lifting programs focus heavily on strength training. While we too prioritize strength training, we also spend the first half of every class focusing on speed, agility, and power development.
• We welcome experienced, competitive, and elite athletes, but we also welcome inexperienced, uncompetitive, and beginner athletes.
• We adjust our programming for an athlete who is injured, preparing for a big game or tournament, didn’t adequately recover from yesterday’s session, or maxed out on a lift at school earlier that day. Each athlete is the expert of their body, so we listen to them and adjust if needed.
• Our programming can be customized for each athlete, and we coach each athlete through their entire workout. Our athletes will never be expected to complete a workout on their own or have to fight for the attention, direction, or feedback of a coach.
• Jarosh Performance is a family, and your family supports you and celebrates with you. We make a constant effort to attend our athletes’ games, tournaments, graduation parties, and signing days when they commit to playing at the collegiate level.
Our classes are 45 minutes in length. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up. The first half of the class is dedicated to working on speed, agility, and power development (e.g., sled-resisted sprints, jumping, etc.). The second half of the class is dedicated to strength training.
Our class times vary throughout the year, but the following is our current schedule*:

4:45 PM & 6:15 PM Monday-Thursday
8th Grade & Older
